Fourth Wing follows Violet Sorrengail, a 20-year-old student at Basgiath War College. She wants to stay in the Scribe Quadrant, where she works at a desk. However, her mother forces her to join the Rider Quadrant, where she must fly fire-breathing flying reptiles. The story is filled with dangerous and steamy adventures. Dragon riders must prove themselves in a fantastical world, taming their dragons and competing with their comrades. It’s not just about war, but also about love and survival in a life full of sweaty moments and challenges.

Violet must contend with her small build and the demanding schedule of a college student. Her journey is anything but easy. She has to pass her Wyvern flying test, overcome Jack Barlowe and his opponents, and take on the responsibility of being a pilot. Everything is overshadowed by the complicated relationship between her mother and Xaden Riorson, the squad leader, whose father died in a rebellion. In the end, the question remains: Will she manage to overcome the challenges?

Fourth Wing is definitely spicy, but in its own way. At first, the spice level is mild, almost like a little bit of Tabasco sauce in a meal. But then, the heat gradually builds, increasing page by page. The tension and chemistry between the characters intensify, while the build-up feels like a kiss and a tender embrace. By the end, when you’re sweating and your lips are tingling, you realize the spice is more like a ghost pepper. Patience is required, but the reward is great. And what you’ve been waiting for arrives with a rush and patient moments that leave you craving more.

Fourth Wing is definitely spicy. There are some explicit and detailed scenes, ranging from making out to steamy moments. However, I wouldn’t describe it as smutty. The spice level remains moderate, with the plot being far more important than the sex scenes. The blend of tension and steamy moments makes the book unique and gives it the right amount of spice.
